Let me tell you something. everyone handles the death of a beloved pet differently. Its been a while since I have lost a pet as our current dogs are ten years old now, but it does not mean I have forgotten the day that we had to put our previous German Shepard mix (Candy) down at the age of fifteen.

I have grown up with dogs all of my life. My first mixed breed dog went by the name of Candy. I was only five at the time when she was brought her home, but I still remember that day like it was tomorrow. Candy was a German Shepard and collie mix. She was sweet as she can be and she had a dominating Shepard personality. She lasted til the age of 15.

I have a dog that is border collie mix so, I've decided to create this lens. The main thing you need to know is that Border collies are in fact a herding breed. Their origin is somewhere between England and Scotland. They are also very intelligent and energetic. They are also very scared of thunderstorms.

Bringing a new dog home is a scary thing especially if you are bringing one home to a multi dog home. With the recent passing of Lucky, this is something I had to do when we brought Cookie home. There has always been talk about bringing dogs to a neutral ground, but that is not always possible. All of my life, we have never done that and all of our dogs have turned out fine without doing that. It is more work, but it can be accomplished.
